What an amazing year this is! My daughter, Samantha Wilde, has written a
wonderful, funny novel about being a young mother. Bantam/Dell is
bringing her novel out on June 23, the same day they’re bringing out my
new novel, Summer House.

Also, the talented actor Susan McGinnis (she played Miranda’s secretary in an episode of Sex and the City!) is staging a reading of The Hot Flash Club with four of the island’s most wonderful actresses on June 3rd.
And Moon Shell Beach is coming out in a beautiful paperback edition. And, I promise, someday I’ll write sequels to Moon Shell Beach, and to the Hot Flash Club.
In the meantime, I know you’ll love my 3 women in Summer House. Charlotte is 30, Helen is 60, and Nona is 90—and although they’re spending the summer on beautiful Nantucket island, their lives are complicated and full of surprises, heartbreak, and joy. Just like ours.
